The State of Alabama Building Commission are the ones who you must apply with to become a licensed Electrical Contractor or Journeyman Electrician in Alabama. The Commission’s primary function involves promulgating and enforcing the State Building Code through plan reviews, inspections and serving as the state’s contract administrator for state-funded construction.(excerpt from State of Alabama Building Commission official web site).
